Do you believe in love at first bite?

These fiber cereals are really throwing my head for a spin. A lot of them taste AMAZING and if I had to crown one of them as the most amazing one of them all it’s FiberPlus™ Antioxidants Berry Yogurt Crunch by Kellogg’s. The wheat and rice flake, oat cluster, and yogurt cluster seem like a little much when they’re sitting in the bowl but when they reach your mouth you know it’s the perfect bite. Amazing berry taste with a hearty crunch behind it makes this cereal a party in my mouth.

Let’s break down the bite, shall we? The Berry Yogurt Crunch flake itself tastes like the wheat and rice combination it is. The cluster is made of oats, but has the strawberry, blueberry and other fruit flavors wrapped inside. And that yogurt cluster? Upon further inspection in its dry form, it turns out the yogurt cluster is an oat cluster coated in yogurt. Fine by me, it tastes delicious! Also, when reading the full list of ingredients I see that there is both chicory root fiber, soluble corn fiber, and oat fiber. I think the reason this cereal tastes quite so delicious is because of all the fruits contained: strawberries, blueberries, apple, kiwi, and raspberries. This cereal contains an entire fruit platter of yumminess!

The nut411on:

Each serving of FiberPlus™ Antioxidants Berry Yogurt Crunch has 25 grams of whole grains. Twenty-five! It does contain 40% of your daily fiber in one cup, so please be careful eating it, unless you enjoy hanging out in the bathroom all day. It also contains 100% of Vitamin E and 25% of Vitamin C which are both antioxidants that promote cell health and may help protect us from certain chronic illnesses like heart disease. Back to the fiber, the chicory root fiber mentioned is really inulin which is a soluble fiber that helps with digestion, prevents constipation, and helps to lower high blood sugar levels. It also may help to reduce fat levels in the body.

Kellogg’s, well done. High in fiber, decent in protein, low in fat, high in good carbs, and hits a home run on taste.
