Kellogg’s Frosted Mini-Wheats Blueberry Muffin is a new kind of Mini-Wheats with yummy blueberry flavor and sugar frosting on one side then blueberry flavored Crunchlets inside the biscuit. What’s a Crunchlet? I’m so glad you asked! It’s a corn cereal with sugar, natural and artificial flavors, and dye. Each Crunchlet is embedded into the biscuit to make the biscuit itself taste like a blueberry muffin. When the milk is first poured into the bowl the blueberry flavor within the biscuit is completely lost, but as the cereal absorbs the milk and the biscuit sogs the Crunchlets activate to give that yummy blueberry muffin flavor. Unfortunately, there is a difference of opinion about the enjoyability of the leftover milk. My milk tasted like milk with some sweet pockets in it, while NYCWD‘s milk apparently tasted very deliciously of blueberry. I wonder if it’s because he got all the bits at the bottom of the bag in his bowl? Hmmmm…

Frosted Mini-Wheats Blueberry Muffin per 1.8 ounce (24 biscuit) serving contains 180 calories, 1 gram of fat, 4 grams of protein, and 43 grams of carbohydrates with a whopping 5 grams of dietary fiber. It offers 25% recommended daily value of Thiamin, Riboflavin, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, and Folic Acid, and 90% of Iron.

Tastes good, has great nutrients, what more can we ask for? Well, how about trying it for free? That’s right, until July 31, 2009 Kellogg’s will give you your first box of Frosted Mini-Wheats Blueberry Muffin for free if you mail in the original cash receipt showing your purchase, the UPC symbol from the outside of the box, and rebate order from from inside the box. Score one for Kellogg’s!
