Competition

As I have mentioned before, Cereal Wednesday is up at The Blogger’s Choice Awards for Best Video Blogger. It was also up last year, and although I had made it into the top 3, Brotherhood 2.0 won the competition.

I admittedly did endorse them over the “YouTube Blog” because I did not find that to be a related entry into the Video Blogger category. Its not like THEY were the ones making the videos. It was all of us that they were highlighting because we are the actual content creators.

So this past weekend I got caught up on watching Brotherhood 2.0 (I generally watch all 5 episodes from the week on Saturday). Specifically I watched the November 27th entry by Hank Green. He addresses the fact that they won and that “… our competition wasn’t very stiff…”

Really?

I take huge offense to this. Really. As someone who spends quite a bit of time on these types of posts, invests some money, and tries to maintain it, the last person I would expect a slap in the face from is a fellow vlogger. I’m not going to get into a whole tirade against Hank… but I will say that he has just added to the amount of World Suck there is, the same thing that he and his “nerdfighters” proclaim a war against.

So I officially no longer endorse hypocritical Hank from Brotherhood 2.0.

Vote for Cereal Wednesday for Best Videoblogger. Don’t let the Brotherhood 2.0 win this year too!
