Looking For A Pop To My Crackle

Let’s be honest… being a cereal critic is not as glamorous a blogging job as other such cool things like a “tech blogger”, or a “gadget blogger”, or even a “movie critic”. Who doesn’t like free movies? So it really should be no surprise that I occasionally peruse the personals of online dating services. Surely someone must be willing to be a pop to my crackle?

On of the personals sites I peruse is Datehookup.com. One of the main reasons I use it is because its FREE. Unlike some of the other sites that make you pay for a 6 month subscription to send an e-mail, if I find someone I can just e-mail them right away. Since its free, it also means I only have to wait around 60 seconds for the rejection e-mail as opposed to wondering if they aren’t responding because maybe they kinda like me. The site also has a forum area, which other sites lack, so that you can publicly acknowledge the fact that you got shot down.

While being the Cereal Avenger may not seem like a fabulous choice of online occupation… at least Datehookup.com isn’t milking me for all I’m really not worth just to get rejected.

If its free… its for me.

How’s that working out for you? All I’ve ever heard about dating sites is that people completely misrepresent themselves.

Except in Bdogg’s case, which ended in marriage.

Well… I’m really not too sure about if people misrepresent themselves… I think to figure that one out I would need to actually meet someone.

I haven’t gotten past the “Ewww! Get away from me cereal freak!” part yet.

Really? Odd. Very odd. You’re popular and charming on the internets! Don’t they know who you are?!??!

I thought I was an Internet force to be reckoned with myself… right up there with Perez Hilton for the love of Britney!!!

They probably have no clue who I am.

      It’s probably better this way.

I can continue my delusions of grandeur.

      (blink blink)

You just compared yourself to Perez.

      Um.

      Let’s not do that anymore.

You’re far too good for that.

I’m a legend in my own mind.

He’s a legend in his own mind.

      We share that in common.

BUT THAT IS ALL WE SHARE IN COMMON!
