The Honey Nut Cheerios brand from General Mills has enjoyed immense popularity with both mothers for its oat based cereal and children for its sweet taste. To be spun off into a breakfast Milk’n’Cereal Bar makes alot of sense, but the truth is that the milk portion is really a sweetened type of frosting used to hold the bar together.
The result is an over sweetened assault on your taste buds worse than a bag of candy. One thing that does come out more in the bar is the aftertaste of nuts, assuming you did not go into a diabetic coma after the sweetness. The bar also does not do a good job satisfying a morning appetite, leaving you feeling empty an hour or two later.
Considering that the caloric count of a bar is equal to that of a bowl of the actual cereal, you may want to choose instead to take a few minutes to enjoy the original as it was intended instead of rushing out the door with a bar in hand.

That was really funny! Thanks for the warning about the uber-sweetness of those bars. I won’t be trying them.
