PayPerPost

There have been a lot of opinions voiced ever since PayPerPost came onto the blogging scene with what was considered a very controversial alternative for the average blogger to monetize their blog. After a rocky start, they developed the leading standard for blog ethics in the paid post format, and have slowly been gaining wider acceptance across the blogosphere much to the chagrin of “establishment” bloggers.
One of the reasons it still comes under fire is because it not only works for the blogger, but it is incredibly easy so that any blogger can do it. Taking a quick glance at their Top 10 Earners reveals 5-digit incomes through PayPerPost. While none of the names listed would be considered synonymous with blogging, it is proof that PayPerPost does what it claims… and allows people to blog about what they love and make money doing it.
What I have found to be amazing is the loyalty and dedication their Posties have for the system. Empowering impassioned users is one of the keys to success for any new media system. The other key would be constant and consistent evolution. With a new program, Social Spark, set to launch in January of 2008 that evolution continues and strengthens the presence of this form of blog monetization.

When the early history of the blogosphere is eventually written, it is without a doubt that PayPerPost will be listed as one of those revolutionary moments that helped to secure not only the future of blogging ethics… but that of blogging profitability.
Don’t you want to be a revolutionary?

Not really. Being a revolutionary sounds like hard work, and I’m inherently lazy.
I’m with Dave2. I’m entirely too lazy for this sort of revolutionary thing. Unless something falls right in my lap, I’m not doing it. Did I mention I was lazy?
PS–You’re a whore, but I still love you.
I can’t tell you how ironic I find this post
I’m quite lazy too and I seriously doubt I’ll be making 5 digit incomes with them, but it’s fun and I make a little extra money, which helps right now
Sodapop’s last blog post..I should be sleeping, ’stead of keeping these late hours
Dave- You’ve already been a revolutio… you just don’t realize it. VIVA BAD MONKEY!!!
KG- Did I mention the revolution will now be televised??? Better get the clicker… and some WebTV…
Soda- Well… at least your taking the news better than Miss “I WILL CUT YOUR HEART OUT YOU HIGHLIGHTING BASTARD” Monique did. My stance for personal blogs however, still stands. Just sayin’.
