Cereal Wednesday Episode VII: Crispix

Considering this was the first time I ever ate Crispix Cereal, it was a pretty good bowl. It isn’t one of the sweetned cereals, but the taste was not harsh to either the corn or rice side once you got past the initial blandness. It had a good texture and a nice balance… and most importantly it remained crispy for quite awhile.

Crispix is one of the newer brands of cereal, having only been introduced in the 1980’s. There hasn’t been a mascot associated with it, but this is probably because it is marketed primarily for adults. If they did want to market it to kids, I think a Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde like character would be very fitting.

I agree. i just ate a big bowl and it was delicious. If you want to add a touch of sweet to it, just a little dollop of maple syrup goes a long way.
