Cereal Wednesday Episode VI: Kelloggs Frosted Flakes
There are adult gestures and profanity in this video
In my opinion there is absolutely nothing worse than Kelloggs Frosted Flakes. Yet, it remains to be one of Kelloggs most popular brands and will in all likelihood not go away anytime soon. The cereal itself is a corn flake frosted with sugar (hence the name), which quickly becomes a soggy mess. They maintain crispness for barely a minute and the sugar coating is barely noticeable while eating them.
Tony the Tiger has been Kelloggs Frosted Flakes mascot since 1952. Tony isn’t the only Tiger used by Kelloggs though, he has a wife Mrs. Tony, a son Tony Jr., a daughter Antoinette, and of course his mother Momma Tony. Tony’s catchphrase of “They’re Grrreat!” is synonymous with his appearance. The voice of Tony the Tiger was voice actor Thurl Ravenscroft from 1952 until his death in 2005. Kelloggs has replaced Ravenscroft with Lee Marshall who is the former announcer for World Championship Wrestling’s (WCW) Thunder television show. This once again continues the trend of associating cartoons with violence.
There really is nothing else I can say about Kelloggs Frosted Flakes, because they disgust me so.
